Perpetual is purchased and Gods and Heroes canceled
The producer sold its platform for developing games and "Star Trek Online" for a major independent studio in San Francisco, which will continue to function in the same place and under the same management.
Permanently deferred, "Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising" seems to be part of new plans and can be considered canceled. According to sources told the site, most of the development team involved with the game was released to seek new opportunities as part of the process of change. Recently, the game had been delayed to 2008 due to internal problems of Perpetual.
The team behind "Star Trek Online", who worked on the Perpetual Platform, licensed to BioWare, and a small number of people behind "Gods and Heroes", was rehired by the studio where he reformed the development activities will continue in two other projects.
"Gods and Heroes" was an online RPG with a different theme, like gods and heroes gold ,exploring the Roman Empire and mixing different elements with the intention of creating a unique universe, developed and historical at the same time.
