What makes a exciting Final Fantasy XIV
I'm tempted to dismiss Yoichi Wada's statement as just more talk from a company that has yet to deliver. I mean, how many times has SE said they're going to turn FFXIV into a great game? Yet here we are a year after FFXIV's release and the game is still nearly unplayable with basic features still missing .
However admitting that there's a problem is the first step towards recovery, and this statement addresses the Final Fantasy series as a whole. At least there's no longer any doubt that SE realizes they've been going in the wrong direction with the series. The way I see it the company has one more chance.
FFXIV has to become a great game and FFXV needs to be a fantastic single player experience or the Final Fantasy name will truly be dead and SE's big talk will mean nothing.
